Our founders, Maxime Houssin and Aymeric de Guerre, started Duodeal after seven years of building Atawa together — a bootstrapped business they grew from zero to €12M in revenue, sending thousands of proposals along the way. Driven by what they learned on the other side of every quote, every signature, and every silent PDF, their mission is to put the proposal back where it belongs — at the heart of the sale.

From day one at Atawa, they faced the same problem every sales team faces: their proposals were built on Google Sheets. Quickly, they found it limiting and time-wasting. They searched the market for a tool that matched their vision — an online space where the client could experience the proposal, not just read a document. Nothing existed. So they built it internally.

That internal tool became a game-changer for Atawa's sales team. Their clients started asking: "Where can we get this tool?" After successfully selling Atawa, Maxime and Aymeric decided to turn that internal tool into a product for every sales team. Duodeal was born — backed by 7 years of real-world sales experience using a working version of the vision.

This is not a product built in a lab. It's a product born from the field.

Romain leads Customer Success at Duodeal. Before joining, he spent his career on the sales floor of B2B SaaS unicorns, consistently creating winning scenarios for his clients across France and internationally.

Today, Romain works hand-in-hand with every customer team — from the first onboarding session through every milestone they reach with Duodeal. He helps each team define what success looks like for them, and stays involved at every step of the way. Our customers' success is something we follow personally — and Romain is the one making sure it happens.

Maxence Despeuilles

Lead Developer

Maxence leads development at Duodeal. Before joining the journey, he built applications and websites for demanding clients — including Legalstart, which became one of the fastest-growing legal-tech companies in its sector. His client work taught him that the difference between a good product and a great one usually comes down to onboarding and UX. That conviction shows up everywhere in what we build.

He's also followed the evolution of AI closely from its earliest days, which has shaped how we've built Duodeal from the start.
